1. Choose your destination
First because the world is vast, then because you may not necessarily have the same expectations as the person(s) you are going to travel with, and above all because it is not possible to travel everywhere. at any time of the year.
To prepare your trip and choose the country where you want to go, you must first ask yourself a few questions:

Once you have answered this, you will probably see it a little more clearly, but you should also remember to check some information about the destination you have chosen:
1) Is the period you want to leave suitable for a trip to this area?
It is very important to find out about the climate to avoid finding yourself in the middle of the monsoon season in Thailand or typhoons/cyclones on Reunion Island, for example.
To organize a trip to Europe, you will not have to worry about major climatic events. On the other hand, it can always be useful to know the average temperatures to prepare your suitcase or to know when you can swim!
2) What is the political and health situation in the country? Are there certain areas to avoid?
You will have all the information in real time for all the countries of the world. This advice is particularly valid if you are planning a trip to Africa or the Middle East, for example.
3) What are the requirements to be able to enter the country?
If you are going to an area outside Europe , you will need a passport . And as obtaining it takes a little time , it is impossible to decide to go to Canada overnight, if you don’t have one!
Also pay attention to the expiration date of your passport. Some countries require a passport valid for at least 6 months after the return date.
Some countries also require a visa to be able to enter their territory. This is the case of the United States with the ESTA request or China for which there is a lot of information to provide to obtain a visa.
Here too, it is best to consult the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the latest information. It’s really the only site to organize your trip that has up-to-date data.
4) What are the vaccines to provide?
You will also need to check if you need to have a specific vaccine such as rabies or yellow fever. Please note that some vaccines require several doses which must be spaced a few days or weeks apart .
